The Role:
You’ll lead, inspire and motivate a multi-disciplinary software development team of up to 6 developers and 1 QA and work alongside them to deliver within a high-quality and outcome-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll also be leading the growth of your team members by appraising performance and assisting them with their career development.
Furthermore, you’ll also be accountable for the hiring and delivery of this team and will serve as a liaison between the delivery team and key stakeholder(s), internal or external. For this, we expect you to actively work with your peers Engineering Managers to align on initiatives and priorities, proactively identifying risks and dependencies throughout all phases of these initiatives. You will be part of the product lifecycle by supporting product owners and other change originators.
We use Scrum methodology and strive to continuously improve. As a manager, the expectations are that you track, analyse and support your team through change to promote efficiency, quality, and better outcomes.
What You’ll Bring:
• A technical background with a proven track record of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex software projects;
• Important: Experience in teams and processes involving UI development
• Excellent stakeholder management skills to engage, communicate, negotiate and work towards compromise and success during our product lifecycle.
• Experience leading people and supporting their career development plans;
• Demonstrated expertise in fostering and advancing a collaborative team culture;
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly concerning technical risks,
issues, and constraints;
• Senior principles, leading by example, showing work ethic and passionate, professional attitude;
• Knowledge of distributed, redundant, and transactional systems and the quality assurance of these;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Portuguese);
• Proven track record of Incident Management;
• Experience using defect tracking systems
